Milton has classified the Trafalgar area as a future growth area. The site will accommodate high-density development and employment spaces over the next 10 years, with contemporary housing, flexible office space, parkland, shops, and public transportation, and are integrated in a bustling corridor along highway 401. Trafalgar has enough employers to sustain a minimum of 60,000 knowledge-based jobs and can house about 32,000 residents. The aim for this neighbourhood is for a second GO Train Station to be built along the existing tracks just south of Derry Road.
